During hip-hop's mixtape-blog era, back when I attended the University of Florida, I performed at various clubs and venues in downtown Gainesville and gave out burned CDs of my first-ever mixtape, From The Ground Up. Across three projects from 2013 to when I graduated in 2015, I wrote raps to songs such as Intro by The xx, 2 On by Tinashe, and Maria Maria by Carlos Santana, recording lyrics on Mixcraft in my apartment room closet. While making the third, I turned my initials into a rap moniker which I printed on 100% cotton that outlived its era. Can you spot the writing tool in my album artwork?
